About Pakenham Racecourse.
Sportsbet-Pakenham is one of Victoria's newest tracks with a state of the art training facility and racing venue, the 2400m grass track is the largest in Australia. The home straight is 480m long with a testing rise to the winning post, similar to Sandown.
The inner synthetic track is the first in Australia to use the Polytrack surface, which is used in the UK, USA, and Singapore. Racing on the synthetic track is in the winter season from May to August.
This course generally exhibits little bias and apears perform well in wet and dry weather conditions. Barriers are of little importance.
