Eagle Farm Race 6 Hinkler Hcp.
King Of Hastings ($8.5) is fresh for this and comes in with a trial win. Southern Lad ($8.5) battled on last start on a slow track, should be suited here. Away Game ($7.5) can run well first up, might be better over a bit more ground but can figure in the placings. Garibaldi ($2.8) has a good record at this track & distance and might find this more suitable than last start. Gee Tee Tee ($5.5) ran second to King Of Hasting at the trials, fresh record is good.
Summary: 5 – 9 – 11 – 1 – 6
Eagle Farm Race 7 JJ Atkins.
Tiger Of Malay ($6.5) is up in trip on last start win at this track, can win again. Converge ($3.5) ran 2nd to the Tiger last start but was running home fast, can turn the tables. Port Louis ($5) ran 3rd in the same racing starting from an outside gate, could be suited at this trip. Overmann ($14) posted a solid win last start, higher grade here but can be competitive. Cape Breton ($14) has put 2 wins together, big step up in class but deserves a shot.
Summary: 2 – 1 – 5 – 9 – 10
Eagle Farm Race 7 Stradbroke Hcp.
Mr Quickie ($10) will be running on late, back in trip from a mile which is a good indicator for this race. Niccanova ($17) couldn’t figure in the placings last start but was less than 2L from the winner, proven at this T&D. Vega One ($6.5) won the Kingsford-Smith Cup ahead of a lot of these runners and drops 6kg on that run, expected to go well again. The Harrovian ($9.5) is 2/2 at this track and has will be fitter for the first up run, trip suits. Signore Fox ($27) ran 3rd in the KSC and with only 52kg to carry might be worth considering for exotics.
Summary: 12 – 1 – 8 – 11 – 13
